Logistics UK and the RHA provide an important reminder.

With the enforcement of the next phase of London’s Direct Vision Standard (DVS) set for 28 October, Logistics UK and the Road Haulage Association are urging businesses to verify if their vehicles need a permit. HGVs over 12 tonnes must achieve a three-star safety rating or implement the Progressive Safe System (PSS) to avoid a £550 penalty and continue operations. Operators can apply for an extension for PSS installations, but applications must be submitted by 27 October. Compliance is crucial, as 216,000 vehicles are affected by these new regulations.
