In the second week of May, air cargo tonnages from Asia Pacific saw an 11% week-on-week recovery, rebounding from a drop during the earlier holiday period and matching last year's performance. In contrast, tonnages from other regions like Central and South America, North America, and Europe declined by 5%, 5%, and 3% respectively. Despite a global air cargo capacity increase of 1%, it remains about 6% lower than pre-conflict levels in the Middle East. Jet fuel prices have decreased, reducing the likelihood of significant rate increases, although they are still 80% higher than last year.
