Glasgow Prestwick Airport has celebrated one year of scheduled cargo operations by China Southern Air Logistics, establishing the first direct cargo link between China and Scotland. The four-times-weekly service has boosted cargo growth and enhanced trade connectivity, processing over 25 million e-commerce parcels and creating over 250 jobs. The airport has also seen a surge in Scottish salmon exports and has expanded its cargo network, now handling 15 weekly services to mainland China. Investments in specialized facilities support the growing demand for perishable and time-sensitive cargo.
