Volvo Autonomous Solutions (V.A.S) and DSV have initiated autonomous freight operations in Texas using the Volvo VNL Autonomous truck, with plans to expand to more routes. This collaboration leverages V.A.S's expertise in autonomous driving and DSV's logistics capabilities to enhance efficiency and resilience in supply chains. Initially, a safety driver will be present in the truck, but the goal is to operate continuously and improve asset utilization. The partnership aims to address the driver shortage and offer enhanced safety while integrating autonomous transport into existing logistics networks.
