In April 2026, the Port of Los Angeles processed 890,861 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs), marking a 5.7% increase from the previous year and the second-best April on record, driven by strong import demand amidst trade uncertainties. For the first four months of 2026, total TEUs reached 3,279,704, slightly below last year's pace but above the five-year average. Executive Director Gene Seroka highlighted the port's efficiency and resilience of American consumers, as cargo movement remains smooth. April's loaded imports rose by 5% year-over-year, while exports saw a slight decline.
