International Airlines Group (IAG) reported a strong Q1 for 2026, with revenues rising 1.9% to €7.18 billion, attributed to robust demand across its brands. Operating profit surged 77.3% to €351 million, while the operating margin improved to 4.9%. Cargo revenue, however, fell by 13.5% to €275 million due to declining volumes and weaker yields, influenced by market stability and a weaker US dollar. Despite these challenges, IAG emphasized high-yield cargo flows, and Aer Lingus expanded its fleet with new aircraft deliveries and purchase options for future growth.
