Avianca Cargo achieved record flower transportation volumes of over 20,100 tonnes during the 2025 Mother's Day season, a 15% increase from the previous year, thanks to heightened demand. The airline operated 300 dedicated cargo flights and doubled its operational capacity, maintaining continuous handling operations at key terminals. Miami International Airport played a crucial role, handling over 85% of Avianca's flower shipments. The airline, which is the first in the Americas to obtain CEIV Fresh certification for perishables, is recognized as the largest flower carrier between Colombia and the U.S.
