A.P. Moller – Maersk experienced strong growth in its air freight business in Q1 2026, with volumes rising 20% year-on-year to 82,000 tonnes. This growth was fueled by increased demand for air cargo, particularly for AI-related products, and improved transatlantic charter operations. Although overall revenue declined by 2.6% to $13 billion due to lower ocean freight rates, the Logistics & Services segment reported an 8.7% revenue increase. Maersk also continued to invest in infrastructure and sustainability initiatives, maintaining its full-year growth expectations despite ongoing geopolitical uncertainties.
