Marianna Abplanalp has been named the Head of Special Cargo at IATA.

Marianna Valentina Abplanalp will become the Head of Special Cargo at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in May 2026, based in Geneva. She brings over 15 years of experience, having spent more than a decade at Kuehne+Nagel, where she held various senior roles in global air logistics and specialized cargo. Prior to that, she worked as a Global Transportation Specialist at Triumph International and had a tenure at IATA focusing on Integrated Settlement Systems. Abplanalp's background includes extensive experience in logistics, product development, and supply chain management.
