In September, the Port of Los Angeles (POLA) and the Port of Long Beach (POLB) set new monthly volume records, with POLA handling 954,706 TEU, a 27% increase, while POLB reported 829,499 TEU, surpassing last year's figures. POLA's imports rose 26%, and third-quarter volumes hit historic highs. Exports at POLA declined for the second consecutive month. POLB's imports were up 2%, but exports fell 12.8%. Both ports expect strong performance in October, driven by factors like holiday demand and economic growth, as they prepare for a busy shipping season ahead.
