IndiGo introduces cargo flights between Kolkata and Kunming to enhance trade between India and China.

Indian airline IndiGo inaugurated a regular all-cargo flight between Kolkata and Kunming on April 20, 2026, with the flight operating three times a week using an A321F freighter. The inaugural flight carried 9 tonnes of crabs to Kunming and 21.4 tonnes of general goods back to Kolkata. This new route aims to enhance air logistics between southwest China and eastern India, facilitating fresh produce and e-commerce. Key representatives from various organizations attended the launch, emphasizing the importance of strengthening aviation cooperation and promoting economic ties between the two regions.
