Etihad Airways has announced a major expansion of its African network, introducing new routes to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eritrea, Ghana, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe from Abu Dhabi. This move is part of their strategy to enhance connectivity in high-growth markets, facilitating trade and mobility. The expansion complements recent growth in China and strengthens Abu Dhabi's position as a key hub linking Africa, India, and Asia. CEO Antonoaldo Neves highlighted the increasing demand for air connectivity in Africa, aiming to provide efficient access for both passengers and cargo to foster economic ties across the regions.
