Emirates has ordered five additional Boeing 777 freighters for delivery in 2025/2026, bringing its total to 14 pending deliveries by the end of 2026. The airline has also extended a lease for four existing freighters and plans to convert ten passenger 777-3000ERs into freighters. By December 2026, Emirates SkyCargo anticipates operating 21 freighters, significantly expanding its fleet. With the rise in demand for air cargo services, Dubai is emerging as a global logistics hub, supported by the expansion of Al Maktoum International Airport. Emirates is also evaluating future freighter options for 2028/29.
