Global air freight rates have risen, with the Baltic Air Freight Index increasing by 4.2% for the week ending April 20, marking a 23.1% year-on-year gain. Rates from Hong Kong rose 5.3%, while those from Shanghai saw a 3.7% increase. In Southeast Asia, trends varied, and European rates stabilized after recent spikes, although outbound Frankfurt rates rose by 4.4%. The US experienced mixed results, with increases to Europe and China but declines to South America, while outbound Chicago rates grew by 5.8% week-on-week.
