Crowley celebrates the one-year anniversary of American Energy.

Crowley celebrated a year of operation for American Energy, the first U.S.-flagged LNG carrier dedicated to Puerto Rico, marking a significant commitment to the island's energy resilience. Governor Jenniffer González-Colón praised Crowley for enhancing energy security and economic growth through reliable LNG supplies. Since its inaugural delivery in March 2025, American Energy has transported over 2 million cubic meters of LNG, reducing carbon emissions by nearly 30% compared to diesel. Additionally, it has employed 90 U.S. mariners, supporting local workforce development while reinforcing Crowley’s long-standing commitment to Puerto Rico’s energy needs.
