The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, along with the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, has renewed a memorandum of understanding for the Green and Digital Shipping Corridor for three more years. Originally signed in 2023, this renewal emphasizes their dedication to decarbonization and digitalization on the trans-Pacific trade route. Achievements include methanol bunkering trials and the establishment of partnerships for alternative fuels and digital solutions. The initiative aims to enhance supply chain resilience and foster clean fuel usage, with a goal of deploying zero lifecycle carbon container ships by 2030.
