Etihad Airways plans to expand its international network by adding new destinations in China and Africa in October and November 2026, enhancing connectivity between these regions. The airline will introduce five new Chinese destinations—Shanghai, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou—and six in Africa, including Accra and Lagos. This expansion aims to improve trade routes and support the movement of various goods, while also addressing shifts in global supply chains. By enhancing its logistics network, Etihad seeks to provide faster, more reliable connections and bolster Abu Dhabi's role as a key transit hub.
