In Q1 2026, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol managed 361,829 tonnes of air cargo, a 5% year-on-year rise, despite a 3% decline in March due to geopolitical issues. The split between belly and full freighters was 41% to 59%, with full freighters increasing by three percentage points. Inbound traffic grew notably from the Far East, Middle and South America, and Africa, while Middle Eastern volumes dropped by 47%. March's key commodities included electrical machinery and pharmaceuticals. Additionally, Maastricht Airport processed 6,220 tonnes, reflecting its growing importance in cargo operations.
