The Kenya Airports Authority has appointed Moses Wekesa as its new Managing Director and CEO after a competitive selection process. Wekesa, who has extensive experience in infrastructure development from projects in Europe, Asia, the Pacific, and Africa, previously served as Business Development Director at KenGen. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, along with postgraduate qualifications in finance and project planning. The board also recognized the transition from Mohamud Gedi, the acting MD, and expressed support for Wekesa in advancing ongoing airport modernization projects to enhance Kenya's aviation sector.
