During the week of March 30 to April 5, global airfreight volumes dropped by 4%, although rates increased by 4% to $3.10 per kilogram. This decline was observed across most regions, with the Americas seeing a 9% fall. Despite lower volumes, pricing remained robust, with year-on-year rates up 21%. The Asia Pacific region experienced mixed trends, with shipments to Europe down 3%. Meanwhile, the Middle East and South Asia recorded a 10% volume increase, but pricing slightly fell by 1%. Overall, geopolitical factors continue to create uncertainty in the sector.
