Vereinigung Cockpit has declared new strikes at Lufthansa and is looking to initiate discussions.

The pilots’ union Vereinigung Cockpit has announced further strikes at Deutsche Lufthansa AG and its subsidiaries, scheduled from April 16 to 17, 2026, affecting various flights. Eurowings flights will be impacted on April 16 only, though some Middle Eastern routes are exempt due to regional conditions. The union cites a lack of progress in negotiations regarding pensions and salary agreements, prompting them to propose binding arbitration to resolve the disputes. Vereinigung Cockpit aims to find sustainable solutions rather than engage in power struggles, ready to suggest arbitrators if the proposal is accepted.
