The TAPA truck parking network in Europe has expanded by 150% in response to an increase in theft incidents.

The Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) has seen a 150% year-on-year increase in truck parking locations adhering to its Parking Security Requirements (PSR) Standard, now covering 17 European countries. This standard enhances security for drivers, cargo, and vehicles, allowing parking operators to showcase their security credentials. TAPA's parking database currently lists around 230 sites, providing about 20,000 truck spaces. The expansion reflects rising participation from operators amid increasing cargo crime, with TAPA planning to offer 50,000 free security training courses in 2026 to improve safety and supply chain security.
