Torsten Wefers has been appointed Head Cargo Commercial Europe at Swissport, returning to a senior leadership role in the air cargo sector after leaving Liège Airport. Based in Cologne, he will manage Swissport's cargo strategy across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, focusing on partnerships, network expansion, and regional growth. Previously, he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Liège Airport, where he significantly increased cargo throughput and advanced infrastructure planning. Wefers brings extensive experience in commercial strategy and stakeholder management in the logistics sector.
