After nearly seven years of inactivity, five Boeing 777-300ER aircraft from Jet Airways are set for repurposing in the air cargo industry. Challenge Group, via its subsidiary Ace Aviation, purchased these jets for over $107 million following an e-auction by Jet Airways’ liquidator. The acquisition, part of Jet's liquidation process after its operational cessation in April 2019, aligns with Challenge Group's strategy to expand its cargo fleet through passenger-to-freighter conversions. Significant investments are planned to restore and modify the aircraft before they enter service.
