VTS marks its fifth year of existence.

The Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges marks its fifth anniversary, managing shipping traffic for seagoing and inland vessels to ensure safety and efficiency. Divided into four sectors, with three operational, VTS employs a 3W model and utilizes tools like digital maps and marine radios for communication. Over five years, VTS has overseen 1.5 million vessel movements and, in 2025 alone, facilitated 284,164 voyages. The team, consisting of trained professionals, adapts to challenges from ongoing construction projects by implementing risk management and coordinating traffic through specialized systems.
