FedEx is enhancing its sustainability initiatives in the Asia Pacific by launching a solar installation at the Shanghai International Express and Cargo Hub, making it the first logistics company at Shanghai Pudong International Airport to generate on-site solar energy. The installation covers over 4,000 square meters and is expected to produce 743,000 kilowatt-hours annually, significantly reducing carbon emissions. FedEx has also implemented similar renewable energy projects across the region, expanded its electric vehicle fleet, and utilized innovative technologies to promote energy efficiency and sustainability.
