AerCap is set to lease two Boeing 777-300ERSF cargo planes to Ethiopian Airlines.

AerCap has signed lease agreements with Ethiopian Airlines for two Boeing 777-300ERSF freighters, marking a significant milestone as these will be the first of their kind in Africa, with deliveries set for the second quarter of 2028. AerCap CEO Aengus Kelly noted the aircraft's 25% increased capacity compared to smaller freighters, enhancing Ethiopian Airlines' cargo operations. Ethiopian Airlines CEO Mesfin Tasew expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing the aircraft's role in boosting regional trade and reinforcing the airline's commitment to modern, sustainable solutions in the global cargo market.
