Hactl introduces completely closed-loop recycled plastic sheets for cargo operations.

Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) has pioneered the use of 100% closed-loop recycled plastic sheets in its cargo operations, a first in the air cargo sector. This initiative, which began in 2022 with sheets containing 30-50% recycled content, aims to eliminate virgin plastic usage. Developed in collaboration with the Nano and Advanced Materials Institute, the new sheets are made entirely from post-consumer plastic waste and promote a circular economy. Hactl's approach could inspire wider industry adoption, helping to reduce landfill waste and improve recycling efficiency in logistics.
