Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has successfully decreased average truck wait times at Milan Malpensa Airport by implementing a digital SMS-based system that efficiently assigns trucks to warehouse gates. This innovation, coupled with redesigned parking areas, has reduced processing time to 48 minutes, with 45% of trucks processed in under 30 minutes. WFS is promoting its CargoKiosk technology to streamline document handling and has established a dock coordination office to further enhance operations.
