LATAM lowers carbon emissions from shipments for AquaChile.

LATAM Cargo Group and Andes Integración Logística have successfully executed the first premium salmon air shipment with a reduced carbon footprint for AquaChile, using Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and the Book & Claim model. This milestone operation, conducted on March 7, 2026, transported over 3 tons of salmon from Chile to the U.S. and achieved a certified 10% reduction in CO₂ emissions. The collaboration highlights the potential for decarbonization in air cargo through strategic partnerships and emphasizes the importance of developing sustainable aviation fuels in the region for future growth.
