Air China Cargo has enhanced its freight service between the UK and western China, increasing flights from four per week to daily from Glasgow Prestwick Airport to Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. This change, effective since March 15, aims to meet rising demand for logistics between the two regions, facilitating faster trade of high-value Scottish exports like seafood and whisky. The airport, recognized as a strategic cargo gateway, now offers 15 weekly flights to China, supporting over GBP 250 million in trade and creating 250 jobs.
