FedEx, in partnership with Returnity, has introduced a reusable packaging system for B2B shippers that allows them to transition from traditional corrugated boxes to more sustainable options without the usual handling fees. This innovative solution, designed for soft-goods shippers, aims to simplify the adoption of reusable packaging within existing logistics. The boxes can endure up to 50 shipment cycles, potentially reducing packaging costs by 30% and carbon emissions by up to 88%. Currently available in the U.S., FedEx plans to expand the system to Australia and Europe soon.
