His passion for aviation began in Guyana, where he learned to fly and repair aircraft. Under his mentorship, many employees flourished, contributing to a culture of loyalty and respect. Bassett was recognized for his contributions to aviation and is remembered for his generosity, strong character, and dedication to relationships. He is survived by his wife and daughters.
