In February, the Port of Los Angeles processed 824,323 TEUs, the second-busiest February on record, reflecting a 3% increase from the previous year. Executive Director Gene Seroka attributed this surge to retailers and manufacturers shipping cargo ahead of the Lunar New Year. Despite steady cargo volumes, he acknowledged uncertainties in supply chains due to global conflicts and tariff changes. February's loaded imports rose by 5% to 433,812 TEUs, while exports increased by 7%. However, overall TEUs for the year so far are down 5% compared to last year.
