Starting his journey in Guyana, he founded Professional Charter Services in 1974, evolving it into Amerijet, a trusted freight carrier for major companies by 1976. Bassett emphasized mentorship and community support, especially during crises. Recognized with prestigious awards for his contributions, he is remembered not just for his business success, but for his compassion and commitment to uplifting others. He is survived by his wife Kandee and their three daughters.
