In February 2026, Heathrow Airport saw cargo volumes rise to nearly 130,000 tonnes, marking a 4% increase from the previous year, despite a reduction in cargo-only flights. This growth, primarily due to freight carried in passenger aircraft, underscores Heathrow's significance in UK trade. Total cargo for the month reached 128,710 tonnes, a 3.6% year-on-year rise. North America led traffic with 54,885 tonnes, followed by Asia Pacific and the Middle East, while cargo from the EU and Latin America saw declines. UK cargo volumes plummeted 69.2% to 17 tonnes.
