Cargo volumes at Liege Airport increase by 18.6% during the first two months of 2026.

Liege Airport experienced significant growth in cargo traffic during January and February 2026, handling 219,807 tonnes, an 18.6% increase from the previous year. Cargo aircraft movements rose by 6%, totaling 4,653. January saw 105,398 tonnes of cargo and 2,304 movements, while February recorded 114,409 tonnes and 2,349 movements, reflecting increases in both metrics compared to 2025. The growth was attributed to seasonal demand, notably from Valentine's Day flowers, and a 25% rise in export activity. A leadership change was also announced within the airport's commercial sector.
