BETA Technologies has been chosen by the U.S. Department of Transportation and the FAA to participate in the eVTOL Integration Pilot Programme, which aims to advance electric aviation in commercial use. The Vermont-based company will operate its ALIA CTOL and VTOL aircraft across at least 10 states, focusing on cargo, medical supply transport, and healthcare missions. BETA plans a phased operational rollout, starting with conventional aircraft before introducing vertical take-off models. This initiative reflects a commitment to electric aviation and aims to enhance connectivity and access in various communities.
