The Baltic Air Freight Index (BAI00) decreased by 1.6% for the week ending March 2, marking a 1.3% decline year-on-year, as reported by the TAC Index. Experts caution that these figures may not fully capture the effects of recent geopolitical events, which have led to significant flight cancellations and potential rate increases. While rates from China to Europe and the US showed slight declines, outbound routes from India and European markets have seen rises. In contrast, Chicago's rates continue to struggle, dropping 3.3% week-over-week.
