Teesside International Airport has secured a significant air freight deal with European Cargo, leading to the establishment of a new operational base and the launch of five weekly long-haul flights to China. This service aims to handle up to 375 tonnes of cargo weekly, enhancing export capacity for regional businesses. The multi-million-pound agreement will utilize Airbus A340-600 aircraft, bolstering international trade links and supporting job creation. This development aligns with European Cargo's strategy to expand its UK presence and improve connectivity with global trade hubs.
