The Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI) has requested regulators to suspend demurrage charges on customs-cleared export consignments stuck at airports due to disruptions in international flight operations caused by the Iran-US conflict. They argue that these delays are due to external factors beyond the control of exporters and that imposing demurrage would burden them financially. ACAA also emphasized the need for operational measures, including enabling 'Back to Town' procedures for cargo, opening more airports to international carriers, and monitoring freight rates during this crisis.
