The Cathay Group reported strong traffic figures for January 2026, with Cathay Pacific and HK Express together carrying over 3.3 million passengers, an 11% increase from January 2025, and Cathay Cargo transporting over 130,000 tonnes, a 5% rise year-on-year. February continued this trend, with Cathay Pacific achieving a record 100,747 passengers on Valentine's Day. The demand was driven by outbound students, returning holiday travelers, and business travel. HK Express also saw an 8% increase in passengers, with solid bookings expected to continue.
