Air Charter Service successfully transported over 400 tonnes of blueberries from Peru to New York after a surge in harvest volumes exceeded regular service capacity. This urgent operation occurred over two weeks during Peru’s peak export season, which runs from August to November. Due to the perishability of the fruit, ACS arranged for four Boeing 747-400 freighters, each carrying 110 tonnes, to ensure timely delivery within 24-36 hours of harvest. Peru remains a key blueberry supplier to the US, highlighting the need for dedicated air cargo solutions during peak seasons.
