FedEx has commenced construction on its first dedicated integrated cargo terminal in India, investing over ₹25 billion in a 300,000 sq ft automated hub at Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA). This facility will enhance connectivity between India and major global regions, creating over 6,000 jobs in logistics and related sectors. FedEx's President emphasized the company's long-term commitment to India, while local officials noted the hub's role in strengthening India's manufacturing base and trade capabilities, especially for high-value sectors like electronics and pharmaceuticals.
