Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) has achieved a remarkable milestone this Valentine's season by exporting over 60 million rose stems, weighing more than 2,700 tonnes, to 26 international and 47 domestic locations. This marks a 38% increase in stem volume and a 64% rise in tonnage compared to last year, solidifying its status as India's top perishable cargo hub for five consecutive years. Key international destinations included Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, while domestic demand surged, particularly in Delhi and Kolkata, aided by advanced cold chain infrastructure ensuring quality and timely delivery.
