A.P. Moller - Maersk has ordered eight large vessels from New Times Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. in China, set to be part of a new series of 18,600 TEU ships, with deliveries expected in 2029 and 2030. These 366-meter-long vessels will enhance Maersk's fleet renewal strategy, providing competitive advantages due to their compact size and deployment flexibility compared to the largest ships currently in the industry. Additionally, they will feature dual-fuel engines capable of using conventional bunker fuel or liquefied gas. With this order, Maersk now has 33 vessels on order.
