San Diego's Natilus has secured $28 million in Series A funding, led by Draper Associates, to advance its efficient blended-wing aircraft, including the KONA regional cargo plane and the HORIZON EVO passenger aircraft. The funding will support KONA's manufacturing and initial flight operations, aimed at revolutionizing air cargo and defense logistics. Natilus has over 570 aircraft orders valued at around $24 billion and is also pursuing FAA certification. The company is positioned to disrupt the aviation industry, reshaping how goods and people are transported while actively engaging with military applications.
