Angie Spear, director of the Alaska International Airport System, noted that 2025 exceeded expectations for airfreight, particularly at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC). Billund Airport also reported significant growth, announcing a new cargo facility to enhance efficiency and capacity. Miami International Airport (MIA) experienced a 12.9% rise in airfreight volumes, aided by e-commerce and its strategic location. Liege Airport (LGG) expects continued growth due to a 24/7 operating model and digital advancements. Overall, these airports are adapting to market demands and investing in infrastructure for future growth.
