FedEx Freight is preparing for its spin-off from FedEx on June 1, aiming to become a leading player in the LTL market with a robust network of 26,000 doors, 355 service terminals, and 39,000 employees. The company, which reported $8.9 billion in revenue for its 2025 fiscal year, emphasizes door count over terminal count as a measure of network capacity. Recent strategic adjustments include closing 37 terminals while enhancing capacity in key markets, aligning service with demand. FedEx plans to retain up to 19.9% of shares for potential tax benefits after the spin-off, with an Investor Day scheduled for April 8 to showcase its growth strategies.
