Ethiopian Cargo has named Dereje Derero as its Managing Director.

Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services has appointed Dereje Derero as the new Managing Director and announced additional managerial appointments to support its expansion efforts. The company operates a fleet of 16 freighters serving 70 cargo destinations, alongside over 135 passenger routes. Ethiopian Airlines recently signed an agreement with Boeing to purchase eight 777-9 jets, potentially adding up to 12 more, making it the first African customer for the 777X. This follows a previous order for 11 Dreamliners and 20 737 MAX aircraft, aimed at modernizing its fleet.
